Use Prior Year HSA Elections

To let you carry over your HSA elections without having to go back and make changes manually, a Use Prior Year HSA Elections check box has been added to the Open Enrollment Batch Entry page.

When this box is selected, one of the following will occur during the creation of an open enrollment batch:

• If an employee did not have HSA from the prior year or declined it, HSA is carried forward as declined in the current year.

• If an employee had an HSA deduction amount the prior year, the employee is enrolled automatically for that amount in the current year.
